McPherson Playhouse
The McPherson Playhouse, affectionately known as “The Mac,” is a historic performing arts venue located at 3 Centennial Square in downtown Victoria, British Columbia. Originally opened in 1914 as a Pantages Theatre, it was later renamed in honor of philanthropist Thomas Shanks McPherson, who bequeathed the theatre to the city in 1962. The city subsequently undertook a significant renovation, reopening the venue in 1965 as part of the Centennial Square redevelopment. The renovation preserved the theatre's Neo-Baroque interior while adding a modern lobby and technical improvements
