Living in BC offers craft beer fans an impressive selection of brews to choose from at any given time of the year, but have you ever wished you could take your love of ale one step further? Hasn’t every beer lover always wanted to travel to the Fatherland, don some lederhosen, and join in the oft-fantasized festivities of Oktoberfest? Well, if you had not heard, you can do that right here in Victoria at our very own Victoria Public Market at the Hudson.
On Saturday, October 21st, for the 4th year in a row, Roast Meat & Sandwich Shop is hosting Stein & Dine at the Victoria Public Market featuring popular Germanic foods served alongside many of BCs finest craft beers both in the traditional German style and more classic West Coast varieties. Indulge in favourite dishes, such as Brats in a Blanket, (pork bratwurst wrapped in puff pastry with grainy Dijon dip), Pork Schnitzel Sliders with braised red cabbage Dijon mustard and beer cheese sauce, and Pork Bratwurst with curry spice and garlic aioli.
“I’ve attended Stein & Dine three years in a row, and I’m really excited for this one. I’ve always have so much fun, amazing food, tasty beers, hilarious laughs, and meeting new people. It’s a great event to be at with friends…PROST!” says Norah Holloway.
Entertainment at the event is also exciting with live accordion music, local band Bandar Log, Oktoberfest dancers, and beer pong or try your balancing skills with giant Roast Jenga. The laughs and good times are all but guaranteed.
“I went to S&D for the first time last year and can’t wait to go this year! Great food, music, live entertainment, and of course, beer! What more could you want?” says attendee Wyatt Marchessault.
