Friday, June 12: Summer of Soccer Kick Off
12 p.m. – 6 p.m. | Government Street Pedestrian Zone (Between View and Fort St.)
Celebrate the start of Summer of Soccer with a high-energy downtown kickoff timed to coincide with Canada’s first match. This free event invites residents and visitors to explore downtown, connect with the community and get into the spirit of the game.

The Switch-Accessible Ball Launcher is a portable assistive technology that opens up possibilities for inclusive sports and play, letting anyone aim and launch a ball. Come try it out and challenge the UVic Vikes to a game of soccer darts! CanAssist makes programs, services, and products to break barriers for people with disabilities.
