Two months ago, Chunky Kitchen Cafe opened its doors downtown. Located on Pandora Street at Fan Tan Alley, this little cafe boasts quick service, fresh food and affordable prices. With the pandemic still a part of our lives, small businesses, such as Chunky Kitchen Cafe, need our help to stay open and survive the financial difficulties of our present circumstances.
Local Spots for Seafood Delights
In downtown Victoria, we are fortunate to have easy access to wonderful seafood. Restaurants throughout the downtown core offer delicious treats for those who adore fresh seafood. Just like other types of businesses in a pandemic, these restaurants need our support to remain viable and open.
Giving Back to Staff this Year!
Every year, downtown store owners and managers give holiday gifts to their staff. This year will be different because of the pandemic. The same group dinner options aren't possible. However, workers and staff deserve to be thanked for all their hard work and dedication to keeping our downtown businesses running.
Shop Local this Holiday Season
During the pandemic, shopping locally and supporting local businesses has become even more important. When we shop local, we strengthen both our community and our economy, by investing in the stores and entrepreneurs around us. Businesses in downtown Victoria have developed ways to safely and at social distance, with some shops creating or updating an online shop and/or others taking orders over phone or email.
