Michael’s parents first had the idea of opening a small business when he was six years old and they started with artifacts and collectible clothing. After several iterations they are now located in Chinatown, specializing in beads, gems, and other treasures. Michael has been helping run the store for the last 9 years.
Michael believes that beads and stones are a way to return to the creativity we naturally have as children. He encourages clients to allow themselves to be drawn to different stones and materials. The beading workshops that they offer are an opportunity to freely express oneself. The store also partners with local artists to create custom pieces for clients.
Bamboo Beads and Bling is more than just retail, the store is part of Michael’s family history and future as his children work with him there.
