For Immediate Release

VICTORIA, B.C. — In order to remove the tower crane at the 1515 Douglas Street construction site, Pandora Avenue between Blanshard Street and Douglas Street will be closed to vehicles and cyclists from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. tomorrow. Pedestrians will have access to the sidewalk along the south side of Pandora and are advised to use caution and pay attention to traffic control staff while on sidewalks within the construction zone.

The City and Campbell Construction are reaching out to local businesses along Pandora Avenue to notify them and work to minimize impacts during the closure. Traffic control staff and signage are located on both sides of the construction area to assist drivers and other road users during the closure. Emergency services and BC Transit have also been notified and drivers and cyclists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
