Experience some of the most eclectic Latin music on the international music scene from the Alex Cuba Band. With over 20 awards and nominations to his name, including four GRAMMYS, two JUNO Awards, and three GRAMMY nominations, Alex Cuba incorporates his Cuban roots and brings together melodies, popsoul hooks and rock chords in songs that may seem to bear little resemblance to traditional Cuban form. Opening this evening will be Victoria trumpeter extraordinaire, Miguelito Valdes and his ensemble. After this performance, prepare to wind up for a late-night concert taking place at the Victoria Event Centre that features local R&B band, Diamond Café, led by Canadian multi-instrumentalist Tristan Thompson, who blends his own take on the genres of soul/R&B, funk, and pop.

Finally, closing the festival will be two performances by Justin-Time recording artist and singer/songwriter Halie Loren with her trio, who mixes jazz, pop, vibrant vocals, and authentic lyrics to create her own unique fusion of sound. There will be one afternoon presentation and one evening presentation, both at Hermann’s Jazz Club.
