Extended Space Theatre is a queer collective created by four friends (Danica Charlie, Ella Daly, Emily Duke, & Sammy Forest) who graduated from the Canadian College of Performing Arts at the beginning of 2021.
Our mission is to create interdisciplinary, inclusive, and intersectional physical theatre. Our method prioritizes devised theatre where artists share power and create collaboratively.
We never felt represented by the stories, or characters that we were asked to portray, so we decided to create work that reflects who we are.
Extended Space Theatre acknowledges that they are devising and sharing on the stolen and unceded territories of the Lekwungen and WSANEC peoples, now colonially referred to as “Victoria”. We strive to dismantle systemic racism in our everyday practice and fight for equality.
