Rande Cook, 2023 Solo Show

Rande Cook, a Kwa’kwa’ka’wakw artist born in Alert Bay, BC, was raised with strong cultural teachings. His artistic journey began in traditional Indigenous art, later expanding to jewelry making and glass art. Cook’s career was shaped by apprenticeships with master carvers and artistic exploration worldwide. He blends tradition with contemporary styles, pushing artistic boundaries. Cook completed his Master of Fine Arts in 2021 and seamlessly balances art with community involvement and environmental advocacy. He seeks to unite cultures through art, challenging perceptions, and preserving his cultural heritage.
