If you know, you know, and if you don’t know, you should really know.

Prior to the Pandemic, bars and pubs from all around the province, country, and even the world, would celebrate the iconic coffee-infused imperial stout known as Péché Mortel from Brasserie Dieu du Ciel from Quebec Canada.
This year, we’ve been invited host Péché Day here in Victoria and we are very excited.
This year, we’ll be pouring these fine versions of their outstanding stout
Péché Mortel
Imperial Stout with Coffee, 9.5% alc/vol.
A deep, dark and profound stout. Espresso coffee is infused during the brewing of Péché Mortel, resulting in an intense dark beer with roasted malt flavours enhanced by bitter coffee. The dry finish is long and persistent. This beer was first brewed in our Montréal brewpub in October of 2001.
Péché Mortel Bourbon 2021
Imperial Coffee Stout aged in Bourbon barrels, 9.5 % alc/vol.
Once fermentation is complete, Péché Mortel is aged several months in bourbon oak barrels, which imparts some vanilla and woody aromas as well as bourbon flavours. This beer was first crafted at our Montreal brewpub in May of 2009.
Péché Mortel Kumquat
Imperial Coffee & Kumquat Stout, 9.5 % alc/vol.
This version of Péché Mortel presents fruity acidity from the added kumquats married with roasted coffee beans flavours. Subtle notes of citrus.
Péché Mortel Tajumulco
Imperial Coffee Stout brewed with Tajumulco Coffee, 9.5 % alc/vol.
Guatemalan Tajumulco coffee introduces bright acidity with a more balanced body. Roasted, nutty flavours and a gently bitter finish.
Péché Mortel Dulce de Leche

Brewed with dulce de leche made by our Saint-Jérôme kitchen. Caramel aromas, complex sweetness and roasted coffee beans flavours.
