Join us for our final Lafayette Health Awareness Forum. After nearly 20 years of bringing top experts in all fields of health to the Victoria Community, this culminating evening will explore the future of our very existence on our precious Planet. This year’s speakers are:

  • Katlia Rafferty, Northern Dene author and journalist. Ms. Rafferty was Canada’s first climate writer in residence at the West Vancouver Memorial Library.
  • Dr. Valeria Stoynova, one of the first proponents of “nature prescriptions” and one of the top researchers on the effects of Climate Change on human health.
  • Dr. Suzanne Simard, author of “Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest”, a great researcher and voice illuminating the powerful and collaborative connections of trees and other living things.

The forum will be live-streamed for those who live “away” or who are unable to leave their home. We strongly urge you to attend in person if your health and proximity allows. Rest assured that all health protocols will be followed strictly, masks will be encouraged and Christ Church has ample space for proper distancing.

The LSQ will perform throughout the evening. Join the quartet and their long-time partners who have helped make this forum possible: Drs. Allen Hayashi, Darlene Hamell, Amita Modi, Scott Hofer and Marjon Blouw, and Leah Potter in an evening filled with information and hope.

“What affects one of us – affects us all”.
