Queer Climbing Lesson at Crag X

March 7 @ 8:00 am5:00 pm

Want to learn how to climb and top-rope belay? Here’s a chance to do it with fellow 2SLGBTQ+ folks and friends!
GOATS (Gayest Of All The Senders) are hosting a fabulous queer top-rope climbing lesson with Crag X.
This is a private event and the gym will be closed to the general public. The lesson will start at 6:15pm. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to get ready.
What’s included for $49+tax:
– 2.5-hour group lesson plus free climbing time until 9:15pm
– Free harness and shoe rentals during the lesson
– Mini-membership where you can climb as much as you want for two weeks
You don’t have to be a fitness buff to try out climbing. There are walls of various heights and you don’t have to climb to the top of anything if you don’t want to. Climbing is all about having fun ?
Register NOW if you want to come. The lessons usually sell out quickly.

FAQS:
* Can I bring my friend/family/partner? They are not queer or trans.
Yes. Friends, family, and partners are welcome.

* I don’t know anyone else who wants to learn to climb. Can I sign up by myself?
Yes! Solo climbers are welcome. We will match you up with someone when you arrive for the lesson.

* How old do you have to be?
You must be 16 years old or older to participate.
If you are 16-18 years old, your parent or guardian must sign the Crag X waiver. They can do this online.

* Will Crag X have rental gear that will work for me?
The largest rental harness will fit someone who is 50 inches around at their belly button.
Crag X’s rental climbing shoes are not separated by gender. They are available in a wide variety of sizes.

* What should I wear climbing?
Show up in clothing that allows easy movement but fits well with no part that could get caught up in any of the equipment. Water bottles are a good idea. There is a water bottle refill station.

* Will Crag X use my preferred name?
When you sign the waiver, you will need to provide your “legal name.”
However, the staff can put your preferred name into their system. This is the name that will show up when you sign in. Please just let them know when you arrive.
