Is a shared arts space needed in Victoria?

Do you care about the arts? Are you worried about space? It is not a secret one of the biggest pressures facing any arts organization is the lack of affordable space. This space can include, performance, rehearsal, set building, storage, and offices.
After hearing from a number of arts organizations about space related challenges, the Downtown Victoria Business Association is leading a discussion to explore shared space for arts, culture and creative organizations in Victoria. An early stage of this discussion is to assess the need for such a collaboration to source out the best location, size and what to include for the organizations to thrive in a shared arts space.
The DVBA and its partners have created a brief needs assessment survey to get the feedback needed to move this forward. Arts organizations are encouraged to complete this survey to communicate if the organization has a need for and interest in exploring shared arts space. Survey responses will be compiled by the DVBA and used in an aggregate manner to assess if there is adequate need and interest to continue the discussion.
This is the chance for arts organizations to have their voices heard, so we can work collaboratively towards building a stronger and more inclusive arts community.

My theater company is in its first season on its own. Our biggest challenge is getting a space to rehearse and perform in this would be awesome.
